Based in Silverdale, Hick Bros Civil Construction Ltd has been a significant force in the earthmoving industry since it's formation in 1986.
Originally the company was established by four brothers - Bob, Wayne, Bill and Steve, all of whom brought with them extensive experience in the earthmoving industry working both individually and combining for larger projects.
In 1989, a fifth brother, Gary, joined the company bringing with him experience in both management and company administration. Bob and Bill have since left the directorship of the company to pursue their own interests but both are still our main earthmoving sub-contractors.
In 1996 we attained ISO 9002 Certification. This represents our commitment to constantly maintaining a high quality standard, which we see as an important guideline for our clients and team.
In 1999 Mark Cole joined the company as our Project Engineer, assisting in the development of company management and enabling more substantial projects to be undertaken as head contractor. Mark is now a shareholder / director and General Manager.
Being a business with a core of family members, we are renowned as an employer of local staff, dependant on the season, staff numbers fluctuate between 50 and 70. |
