Hick Bros Civil Construction Ltd promotes and supports the sustainable management of our natural and physical resources.

Our company and staff will support sustainablemanagement of our resources through the actions of:

• Comply with all applicable environmental legislation and “best practice”
• Reusing waste materials to achieve a reduction in the quantities of waste being generated and requiring disposal
• To monitor and take preventative measures to ensure our activities do not pollute local water bodies, and to use local water resources in a conservative manner
• Adopt energy efficiency protocols within our operations, and identify and act on opportunities for reduction concerning the processes, chemicals, supplies, products, and wastes associated with our operations.
• Review annually our Environmental Policy, systems, procedures, objectives and targets, in order to continually improve our environmental performance.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS

We have a strong relationship with Auckland Regional Council - Silt Control Division (administered and audited bu Babcock Consultants) and our environmental policy is straghtforward and to the point. We will take every practicable step to ensure that no adverse effects come to the environment during construction. Our record in environmental management of sites and open communication with regional councils, in particular the ARC, is second to none.

We abide by the highest construction standards in all aspects or our work, and in particular in Sediment COntrol set out in the ARC TP 90 Guidelines for Sediment Control in Earthworks. We construct all control measures to the highest standard.
