Environmental Policy

Hick Bros Civil Construction Ltd promotes and supports the sustainable management of our natural and physical resources. We are currently working towards environmental certification through Enviro Mark NZ.

Our company and staff will support sustainable management of our resources through the actions of:

• Applying and promoting the ‘4 R’ policy for resource use - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.
• Establishing and promoting sound environmental management policies
• Identifying and maximizing opportunities for energy, water, fuel and resource efficiency.
• Minimizing environmental impact and where possible reduce or prevent pollution to the environment.
• Handle and dispose of wastes through safe, environmentally responsible methods.
• Collaborate with key suppliers to promote environmentally responsible procurement of goods and services.
• Raise and maintain awareness amongst staff
• Encourage business partners to strive for the same high levels of environmental performance.
• Include review of environmental impact during organizational planning and decision making.
